Features
Everything after the VOD upload.
ChatClipThat finds moments, gives you editing control, adds hooks, facecam, text, chat, and captions, exports to the right formats, and turns selected clips into a creator feed you can share.
Voice trigger
Say "chat clip that" and keep the moment.
When something happens live, say the phrase and ChatClipThat marks the moment automatically. It is built for creators who notice a clip while they are still playing.
- Voice-triggered clip markers while you stream
- Captures the moment without stopping gameplay
- Pairs with AI discovery after the VOD finishes
ChatClipThat saves context around the trigger so the full moment is ready for review.
AI discovery
Vision, transcript, audio, and chat signals work together to find action, reactions, jokes, tension, and searchable moments.
- Action and reaction detection
- Transcript, audio, and visual signals
- Chat and audio spike context
Editor and exports
Trim, extend, caption, crop, and export clips without leaving the app. Keep raw control after AI finds the candidates.
- Vertical, horizontal, and square formats
- Captions, facecam, chat, and templates
- Download or direct social export
Creator feed
Your banner, profile image, socials, analytics, and selected public clips live in one shareable surface.
- Public/private clip controls
- YouTube and Instagram analytics
- One profile link for your best clips
Semantic search
Search what happened, not just what was said.
Type what you remember from the stream and ChatClipThat surfaces matching moments. Search "shooting" to find gunfight clips, "helicopter" to find helicopter moments, or anything else the VOD contains.
- Find visual moments like shooting, vehicles, reactions, or objects
- Jump directly to matching timestamps
- Search by meaning instead of exact transcript words
A fight sequence with muzzle flashes, fast movement, and a spike in reaction audio.
Another combat moment surfaced by meaning, even if nobody said "shooting."
Swipe review
Select clips as fast as you judge them.
After AI finds candidate moments, review them in a Tinder-style queue. Swipe or tap to keep, skip, edit, publish, or keep private.
- Swipe right to keep a clip
- Swipe left to reject weak moments
- Mark clips public/private before they hit your feed
- Open the editor only when a clip needs work
Hook-first editing
Put the best second first.
Drag a hook to the front of the clip so viewers see the payoff before the setup. Free users can toggle the hook on or off; paid users can move the hook and tune its length.
Toggle hooks
Keep the default hook, turn it off, or restore it when the AI-picked opener works.
Move the hook
Paid users can drag the hook to the exact moment that earns the first second.
Trim hook length
Shorten or extend the opener without changing the rest of the clip.
Preview render order
Watch the hook-first sequence before burning the final preview.
Facecam placement
Place your camera where the clip needs it.
Turn facecam on or off per clip, then use placement mode to move, resize, and crop the camera area for stacked vertical edits. The result carries into preview render and final export.
- Toggle facecam without losing the rest of the edit
- Move and resize the crop for paid users
- Save the placement into reusable templates
- Works with portrait, landscape, and square exports
Static text overlays
Add text like a creator, not a spreadsheet.
Add custom static text overlays for jokes, titles, labels, context, calls to action, or Instagram-style emphasis. Text has its own timing, styling, background, wrapping, and preview-render support.
- Custom text content, font, size, weight, color, and glow
- Optional rounded background with opacity controls
- Independent start and end timing, separate from chat
- Safe-zone wrapping that keeps text inside the clip
- Save text styles in templates so every clip matches your look
Chat, captions, and overlays
Make the reaction readable.
Captions, chat, gamertag, static text, and facecam are separate overlay tracks. You can turn them on independently, move timing for chat and text, and keep the clip readable on short-form platforms.
Styled captions
Choose fonts, highlights, colors, stroke, shadow, uppercase, and placement.
Chat overlay
Show selected chat messages with their own track timing and placement.
Gamertag
Add a persistent creator tag or handle so reposted clips still point back to you.
Overlay tracks
Split, drag, and trim timed overlays while keeping them bound to video coverage.
Caption style
Font, color, placement, and highlight behavior.
Facecam layout
Keep your camera position consistent across clips.
Crop preset
Save vertical, square, and horizontal framing.
Default template
Start every new clip with your setup already applied.
Saved templates
Set your edit style once. Reuse it everywhere.
Templates keep recurring edit decisions out of your way. Save captions, facecam placement, static text, crops, aspect ratio, and defaults so every export starts on-brand.
- Save reusable caption, text, crop, and layout presets
- Choose a default template for new clips
- Keep exports consistent without rebuilding every edit
Montage mode
Get an automatic montage from every VOD.
For every stream you run, ChatClipThat chops the VOD into strong moments and assembles a montage built for creators to post.
- Generated automatically from processed VODs
- Chops long streams into postable segments
- Good for creators who need more content from each stream
Publishing workflow
From VOD to post-ready clips.
ChatClipThat does the boring parts around the edit too: clean renders, platform framing, batch actions, AI metadata, social export, and creator-feed publishing.
Clean downloads
Download rendered clips without a watermark on paid plans.
Batch download
Package ready clips from a VOD when you want the whole set at once.
Direct social export
Send clips toward TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube without rebuilding the post by hand.
AI titles and hashtags
Generate titles, descriptions, and hashtags so each export is easier to publish.
Aspect ratios
Render portrait, square, and horizontal formats depending on where the clip is going.
Reprocess VODs
Run another pass when you want fresh candidates from a stream.
VOD history
Keep recent streams available, with longer history on higher plans.
Auto-rendered clips
Clips can be ready to post after processing instead of sitting as raw timestamps.
Priority GPU processing
Creator plans get priority processing for heavier posting schedules.
